Submitting a Request

Submitting a request is the fastest way to get something in front of your HOA board. It takes less than a minute and keeps everything documented in one place.

How to Submit a Request

  1. 1

Open "My Requests" and click "New request"

Go to My Requests in the sidebar, then click the New request button at the top of the list. The form opens right there on the page — no need to navigate away.
  2. 2

    Write a clear title

Give your request a short, descriptive title so the board knows what it's about at a glance — for example, "Pool gate latch is broken" or "Pothole on Oak Street." Titles can be up to 200 characters.
  3. 3

    Add a description

Describe the issue in detail. The more context you provide — location, how long it's been a problem, any relevant history — the faster the board can help.
  4. 4

    Choose a category

Select the category that best fits your request. Common categories include Maintenance, Compliance, Amenity, Finance, and General. Your HOA may have custom categories too.
  5. 5

    Attach files (optional)

Photos, PDFs, or documents can be attached to help illustrate the issue — a photo of a broken gate, a vendor quote, etc.
  6. 6

    Click "Submit Request"

Your request is sent to the board immediately, and it opens right away so you can follow along. They'll receive an email notification so nothing slips through.
Note: You can attach up to 5 files per request, with a maximum of 10 MB per file. Accepted formats: JPG, JPEG, PNG, HEIC, WebP, and PDF.

Choosing the Right Category

Categories help the board route and prioritize your request. Here's a quick guide to the most common ones:

  • Maintenance — something needs to be repaired or inspected (e.g., broken lights, damaged fencing)
  • Compliance — a concern about HOA rules or a neighbor's property
  • Amenity — issues with shared facilities like a pool, gym, or parking area
  • Finance — questions about your assessment, payment, or the HOA budget
  • General — anything that doesn't fit the other categories

If none of the categories feel right, use General — the board can re-categorize it if needed.
