NeighborBase

For Board Admins

Response Times

Response times let your board set a clear goal for how quickly residents hear back — and how quickly requests get resolved. Set them in Settings → Categories. Board admins and property managers can manage them.

Note: Response times are completely optional. If you don't set any, requests work exactly as before — no deadlines, no badges, no alerts.

How It Works

You set two goals, both measured in business days(weekends don't count):

  • Respond within — how long until the board posts its first reply.
  • Resolve within — how long until the request is marked resolved.

When a resident submits a request, NeighborBase calculates its deadlines right then and keeps them fixed — changing your goals later won't shuffle the dates on requests that are already open.

Defaults and Per-Category Overrides

Set a community-wide default response timeat the top of the Categories page. Then, if a particular kind of request needs a different timeline, give that category its own override — for example, 14 days for architectural review while everything else stays at 3. Leave a category's fields blank and it simply inherits the default.

Seeing What's on Track

In All Requests, each request shows a small badge when it's due soon (amber) or overdue (red), and you can filter the list down to just those that are at risk or overdue. Overdue requests are also highlighted in My Queue on your dashboard, and the request detail shows both the response and resolution status side by side.

Overdue Alerts

When a request passes one of its deadlines, NeighborBase emails the board member it's assigned to — or everyone on the board if it's unassigned. You'll get one alert per deadline, so you won't be pestered repeatedly about the same request. Turn these emails on or off under Settings → Profile.
